Immaculate Conception is dedicated to enhancing student learning through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities and innovative teaching methods. We feel STEM at IC is best described as Strategies That Engage Minds. While STEM takes place daily in our classrooms we also have a dedicated space called the Innovation Lab to build on our traditional classroom learning. The goal of STEM is to foster intellectual, entrepreneurial and technical talent and design thinking. 

In 2017 IC received the Governor’s Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in STEM Education which recognizes Ohio schools and teachers who stimulate scientific student research and technological design and extend opportunities beyond traditional classroom activities.
